Saints Spotlight: Kelly Cicchese '17

Kelly Cicchese '17 credits the close relationships she developed with her Emmanuel professors with helping her secure her public relations internship at the Boston-based headquarters of Regan Communications Group. Kelly, who studied communication and media studies and management, says that her professors understood both her academic interests and her personality. At her internship, Kelly worked with clients in industries such as entertainment and transportation, and she was involved in a range of projects from writing blog posts to planning campaigns.

"Through my internship, I worked with clients in a wide range of industries. This helped me learn how professional organizations function and how to adapt to new cultures," she said.

Since graduation, Kelly has been a program representative at General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, where she budgets, executes and completes various deliverables in support of Ohio-Class in-service submarines contracted by the US Navy. She spent two summers as an intern at this Connecticut-based company, where she gained a better understanding of business negotiations, task management, communication and more.
