Vice President of Mission & Ministry
For nearly two decades, Ms. Benzie has served students and the broader Emmanuel community in roles including Associate Dean of Students, Director of Residence Life and Housing, Academic Advisor for Graduate and Professional Programs, and, most recently, Dean of Campus Life. In January 2023, Ms. Benzie began her new role leading the Cardinal Seán O’Malley Center for Mission & Ministry in its efforts to foster a culture of spiritual growth and service to others, rooted in the College’s Catholic educational mission and in the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Ms. Benzie earned a master’s in management from Emmanuel College in 2006. Her dedication to the Emmanuel community, in numerous roles, reflects Ms. Benzie’s passion to helping students develop and thrive through mission and service
Campus Minister
A native of Milan, Italy, Fr Federico Cinocca has join Mission & Ministry as Campus Minister, in addition to teaching an on-campus course on Social Justice. Fr Federico became a priest eight years ago, and currently is a Student Priest in Residence at St Leonard’s Church in the North End of Boston, as he also completes his PhD studies at Boston College.
Since becoming a priest, Fr Federico has worked with teens and college students throughout his homeland, as well as in Ireland and Guatemala, journeying together to listen to each other’s stories and to the voice of God in our lives. Fr Federico is on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Eileen's previous positions have included Marketing Writer/Editor as well as 401(k) Sales at a large financial investment firm. A Boston native, Eileen is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Boston, and spends her non-work hours coordinating the schedules of her three children.
Program Coordinator
A member of the Class of 2021, Rory returned to Emmanuel in November 2022 as a Program Coordinator for the Cardinal Seán O’Malley Center for Mission & Ministry. The focus in this role is to build strong community service partnerships and to grow the Alternative Spring Break Program, where Emmanuel students travel to locations such as Phoenix, Arizona and Houston, Texas. On these trips, the goal is to immerse students in a new a culture, and for them to walk in someone else’s shoes for a week. As a recent Emmanuel graduate, Rory is able to see through the lens as a former involved student, and one specifically engaged in Mission & Ministry, thanks to her time as a member of Emmanuel’s 1804 Society. Rory is excited to hit the ground running and to continue growing student involvement in the Mission & Ministry office!
Fr Pratt was born and raised outside Los Angles, California. He moved to Boston in 1985 to study music, receiving both a Bachelor's and Master’s degree from The New England Conservatory of Music. In the fall of 1991, Fr. Pratt entered St. John’s Seminary in Brighton, and was ordained a Priest in the spring of 1996. In recent summers, he received a secondary Master’s degree from Xavier University of New Orleans, Louisiana, completing a Master of Theology.
Fr. Pratt is the founding Pastor of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish in Roxbury. He also served for seven years as the Parochial Vicar of Holy Name Parish in the West Roxbury and Roslindale neighborhoods of Boston. Fr Pratt has since returned to St. Katharine Drexel Parish, and currently serves as Pastor.
Since his days in the seminary, Fr. Pratt has been involved in the work of the Office for Black Catholics for the Archdiocese of Boston, and serves as a member of the National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus. Fr. Pratt brings his dedication to antiracism and social justice to Emmanuel College, aligning with the lifelong work done by the Sisters of Notre Dame De Namur.
Kathy is a seasoned leader with experience working in the areas of mission integration, campus ministry, community service, and theology education. Kathy was in ministry at the Academy of Notre Dame, Tyngsboro, MA, for more than thirty years and most recently served for nine years as the Northeast Director of Mission Integration for the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, East-West Province.
