This journey is reserved for a small group of Emmanuel College alumni and dedicated supporters. Participation is limited to 20 guests, ensuring a highly personalized experience.

The trip will be co-hosted by Fr. Federico Cinocca and Professor Petros Vamvakas, native Italian and Greek speakers whose deep knowledge of Rome and Athens will illuminate every site and enrich every moment of the journey. An Emmanuel College Advancement representative will also accompany the group.

The $7,850 per person fee (double occupancy; single occupancy supplement: $415) includes 10 nights of hotel accommodations (Athens and Rome), private group transportation, most meals, all guided tours and entrance fees, winery visits and countryside lunches, local experts and cultural guides, the Athens-to-Rome flight, and a $1,000 charitable contribution to Emmanuel College. International flights to Athens and from Rome are not included.

A $2,000 non-refundable deposit is due April 10, 2026. The remaining balance is due June 15, 2026.

The deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations after the final payment deadline follow the policies of our travel partner and will be communicated in advance.

U.S. passport holders do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days in Greece or Italy. Beginning in 2026, travelers from visa-exempt countries (including the U.S., Canada, and Australia) will need ETIAS approval before entering Schengen countries. Implementation dates are still being finalized.

It is recommended to obtain some euros from your local bank before traveling for initial expenses such as taxis or snacks. ATMs are widely available in Europe and are the best way to withdraw cash once abroad. Please notify your bank before departure.

Yes. Italy and Greece use 220-volt electricity. You will need a plug adapter and possibly a voltage converter for U.S. devices. It is best to purchase adapters before departure.

Most wireless providers offer international calling or data plans that must be activated before travel. Check with your provider in advance. To avoid high charges, use airplane mode and Wi-Fi whenever possible.

Tipping is not expected in Italy or Greece, and service charges are often included. However, small tips for exceptional service are always appreciated.

Yes. Most hotels provide hair dryers and basic toiletries.

Most hotels offer laundry or dry-cleaning services for an additional fee.

Many Italian cities require a local hotel city tax, payable directly at the hotel. Fees vary by location and hotel category and generally range from €1 to €10 per person per night. These fees will be collected by the hotel directly and debited to the client’s credit card.

The itinerary includes walking tours, stairs, uneven terrain, and archaeological sites. Participants should be comfortable walking several miles per day at a moderate pace.

Yes. The itinerary includes optional activities and several periods of free time for independent exploration or relaxation.
