BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel Women's Indoor Track and Field program earned its third consecutive conference title at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship competition at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center on Feb. 15th.
The Saints claimed seven first-place finishes across 16 events. The team finished with 165 points, besting second place St. Joseph's College of Maine by nine points.
Alisha Gomes ’29 was 3-for-3 in competitions: She won the 60m dash, the 200m dash, and contributed to a 4x400m relay victory alongside Sofia Rowen ’28, Aida Davis ’28, and Olivia Costa ’28.
On the track, Kendall Newton ’27 won the women’s mile and the 3000m. Aida Davis won the 400m.
In field events, Ava Fisher ’27 won the women’s weight throw event.
The women's GNAC Championship is their fourth title in six years of the event. In those six years, the Saints have either won or placed second in the Championship Meet.
On the men's side, the Saints finished in second place as a team, their best finish in GNAC Men's Indoor Championship history.
