Emmanuel is a residential, coed, Catholic liberal arts and sciences college located in the heart of Boston's Fenway neighborhood, alongside the world-renowned institutions of the Longwood Academic and Medical Area.

Throughout the year we will be offering in-person and virtual Emmanuel info session webinars! We are also hosting workshops on Application Preparation, the College Essay and other topics that are relevant to the college search. If you are interested in scheduling a presentation for you and your students, fill out this form and an admissions counselor will connect with you shortly.

These presentations and workshops can be tailored to specific interests. We welcome presentations to rising juniors and seniors.

Submit a request

Emmanuel College uses the Common Application. Students must submit all application requirements by the appropriate application deadline to receive an admissions decision. Decisions are received by mail typically four to six weeks after an application becomes complete.

Application requirements include the Common Application form, college essay, official high school transcript, official senior year grades (if a student is applyng under our Regular Decision program) and two letters of recommendation. One letter must come from a school or college counselor and the other, an academic teacher of the student's choosing. We also require that you complete the Common Application Secondary School Report.

Applicants for admission are not required to submit standardized test scores (SAT I, SAT II and ACT). For more information on this policy, please visit our test-optional information page

While interviews are not required, they are recommended for all applicants. Students can arrange interviews by calling the Office of Admissions (617-735-9715) or emailing admissions@emmanuel.edu

Emmanuel welcomes application materials submitted online through the Common Application, Naviance or Scoir, as well as by mail. If submitting a student's official high school transcript, senior grades or recommendation letters by mail, please forward them to the following address:

Emmanuel welcomes school and independent college counselors to campus through a variety of special group tours and events. If you are not able to attend one of our counselor events, you are encouraged to schedule a private visit to enjoy a campus tour and meet with an admission counselor.

Colleges of the Fenway Tour
Emmanuel is a proud member of the Colleges of the Fenway consortium, along with Massachusetts College of Art and Design, MCPHS University, Simmons College, and Wentworth Institute of Technology. Together, our institutions account for approximately 16% of Boston's undergraduate student population.  The COF hosts counselors or student groups to tour all six colleges by appointment. Emmanuel hosts campus events for school counselor associations throughout the area, and would welcome the opportunity to work with your group or association of counselors. Please contact the Office of Admissions to discuss the possibility of organizing a group counselor event on our campus.

Emmanuel welcomes school groups of high school students and their school counselors. Typically, group visits include a campus tour and/or an information session. Please complete this form or contact us at 617-735-9715 to schedule a group visit.

Test-Optional Information

Candidates for admission are not required to submit standardized test scores. Fall 2022 applicants applying for Nursing may also apply test-optional. If sending scores, they must be sent directly from the testing agency or indicated on your official high school transcript.
