What makes Emmanuel different from other colleges?
Emmanuel's setting in the heart of Boston is ideal for students pursuing internship and career opportunities. I think that the small, close-knit setting is unique in that it truly seems to foster a supportive, collaborative community.

What is one Boston activity you recommend for students?
Whether you've lived here your whole life or are new to the area, Boston is an amazing city with lots of great options for students to explore! It's tough to pick just one activity. I love going to the SoWa Open Market on weekends in the summer and fall. It's a large open air market, full of different fresh produce, food trucks, beautiful crafts and more. Each week is something new and it's a great walk from Fenway to the South End to get there. Also, any time you can get outdoors, go explore the beautiful natural surroundings of the Greater Boston area! Blue Hills and the Middlesex Fells are two state parks that are fairly close.

What tips do you have for students when it comes to financial aid and/or payment options?
Speak up and be proactive in understanding your financial aid award and all of the responsibilities that come with it. If you have a question or a concern, reach out to us - it's our job to help support you in accessing your education at Emmanuel. Definitely do your research and figure out the terms of your loans, scholarships, payment plans and make sure to keep up with important deadlines. Again, we're here to help you with all of that so don't hesitate to stop by our office or pick up the phone!

What do you like most about working in the OSFS?
I love working with college students during this unique time in their lives. I'm thrilled to be able to support them by offering tangible guidance and resources. Finances shouldn't be a barrier to anyone's education and I'm happy that we're part of a department that seeks to help students access the resources and information they need in order to attend their school of choice.
