Economics and global affairs are inextricably linked—explore how and why we’re connected using complex models and theories.

In this concentration, we will learn the flow of goods and financial assets across countries. We dive deep into the many issues that influence or affect economics on a global scale—sustainable growth and development, the power of multinational corporations, international trade, trade agreements and international financial markets. Through current and relevant coursework, you will explore the economic interdependencies between nations, including the relationships between rich and poor countries, and develop an economic way of thinking by exploring topics in real time and tying economics to world events—such as patterns of consumption and inflation, fluctuations of foreign exchange rate, national disasters, global pandemics, and more.
