As an educator, she has numerous years experience teaching grades 6-12, language arts, music, theatre, and various English courses, as well as experience as an elementary school principal. Her early graduate research was in the areas of interdisciplinary teaching and standards-based instruction. Her current research focuses on secondary Catholic education and its capacity to meet the academic, emotional, social and spiritual needs of disadvantaged females.
