Christine knew she wanted to attend Emmanuel starting her sophomore year in high school. She became interested in biochemistry and genetics and then read about Emmanuel's partnership with Merck Research Laboratories-and knew the College was the right place for her.
"Emmanuel's reputation in the sciences and its partnerships with the institutions in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area make studying here a unique, challenging and rewarding experience. I've been offered many opportunities that aren't readily available to undergraduates, even at larger schools."
Christine's first internship in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University revolved around research working with proteins and was all lab-based and very hands on.
"I stepped into the labs of some of the most prestigious research institutions in the world and was confident I could hold my own."
