Accounting Clerk, Boathouse Group, Inc
I knew that interning with Hill, Holliday would give me the opportunity to explore advertising, marketing and sales and help me decide which career path I want to follow. My supervisor served as a mentor to me, helping me to understand the business as well as putting me in touch with professionals from other departments within the agency so that I could ask questions and come out of the experience with well-rounded knowledge.
I feel that through interning, students are equipped with invaluable tools, exposed to ‘real’ work and provided the chance to recognize what it takes to be a professional. By applying what I had learned in class to my internship, I was able to advance my skills and build a network of contacts. It’s satisfying knowing that after four years of hard work as a student, I’m able to apply that knowledge and contribute to a company. I now apply all that I learned both in class and through internships to my career as an Accounting Clerk for Boathouse Group, Inc.
