Research Data Coordinator, Program for Patient Safety and Quality - Children's Hospital Boston
My internship with the Gaab Lab at Children’s Hospital Boston could not have been a better fit for me. Looking through their list of current research projects, I realized that they were in the midst of completing a project about the reading and language benefits of music training in children, a subject I had been researching as well. I immediately applied to the internship and was welcomed by the entire staff.
The opportunity to be fully immersed in your field of interest is so important as a student, especially at a time in your life when you may be unsure of what you want to do after graduation. It’s a chance to make a good impression on someone who can impact your future. It’s not only about who you know but who knows you.
As an Emmanuel graduate, I am now a full-time employee at Children's Hospital Boston, working as a Research Data Coordinator in the Program for Patient Safety and Quality. I am certain that my previous internship experience with the hospital was a huge factor in their decision to hire me for this position.
