Health Services Staff

Kay Petersen, MD
Medical Director and Staff Internist, BIDMC
Lauren Davis, NP
Director of Health Services
Erin Simmons, NP
Nurse practitioners (NPs) are registered nurses with advanced training and a master's degree. Health Services NPs are board certified, licensed by the state of MA and credentialed by BIDMC. The NPs work independently and are able to assess medical problems, prescribe medications, treat ambulatory conditions and order appropriate tests. The NPs serve as the primary providers for the students.
The medical director, who is board certified in internal medicine, is responsible for the oversight of Health Services and is available as a consultant regarding complex medical issues.
