The Office of Student Financial Services is available to assist students in Graduate + Professional Programs who would like assistance exploring financial aid options including grants, scholarships and loans from federal, state and private organizations. Please review the tabs below for financial aid information pertaining to your degree.
Graduate Financial Aid
Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan
Graduate students are eligible for the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan. This loan carries a fixed interest rate of 5.31%. Borrowers may choose to defer the interest payments while in school and during their six-month grace period, but the interest will be capitalized.
Graduate students may receive up to $20,500 per academic year, but this amount cannot exceed the cost of attendance minus other financial aid.
Graduate PLUS Loan
An additional federal loan for graduate students who are ineligible for the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan or who have a remaining balance after their financial award. This loan has a fixed interest rate of 6.31%, and is available to students without an adverse credit history. The absence of any credit history is not viewed as adverse credit.

The Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant is gift aid awarded to students intending to teach in a high-need field in a public or private elementary or secondary school serving low-income students. More information may be found by
Undergraduate Federal Student Loans
Federal Direct Subsidized Loans
Undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need are eligible for the Federal Direct Subsidized Loan. The loan carries a fixed interest rate of 3.76%, which the federal government pays while the student borrower is enrolled at least half time. Loan amounts are included on the table below.
Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan
Undergraduate students who do not demonstrate financial need are eligible for the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan. This loan carries a fixed interest rate of 3.76%. Borrowers may choose to defer the interest payments while in school and during their six-month grace period, but the interest will be capitalized.

Please note: Only BSN students are eligible for these state and federal grants. Federal Pell Grant
Gift aid from the federal government to undergraduate students with significant financial need.
MA State Grants
Gift aid from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to full-time undergraduate students with significant financial need who are also Massachusetts residents. Awards are estimated until the College receives notification from the state's scholarship office.
MA Part-time Grant
Gift aid from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for part-time undergraduate students with significant financial need who are also Massachusetts residents.
Financial Aid Award Letters
Once all required financial aid applications and documents have been received, a notification will be emailed to students once their Financial Aid Award Letter is available on
MySaints. The award letter will inform the student of their eligibility for financial aid at Emmanuel College during the academic year for which they applied.
