Featured Faculty: Clare Mehta

Clare M. Mehta, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Emmanuel, and a staff scientist at Boston Children's Hospital. Born in England, she studied at Suffolk University before earning her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of West Virginia. Mehta's research focuses on gender and friendship, particularly the tendency for boys and girls to separate their friendships along gender lines throughout their lifespans.  At Emmanuel, she works in close collaboration with undergraduate research assistants, with whom she has presented at national conferences.
