Coach Lawson Named Division III Coach of the Year on D3Hoops.com

Emmanuel College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Danny Lawson was named the Northeast Region Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year for the 2018-2019 season on D3Hoops.com

His first season with the Saints, Lawson led the team to an 18-8 record, the second-highest total single-season wins in the program's history. The Saints showed a 14.5 game improvement from the team's previous season and earned the right to host a GNAC playoff game for the first time in 10 seasons, where they won and advanced to the semifinals.

"We're very proud of all that Coach Lawson accomplished in his first year with the program," said Assistant Director of Athletics Dan Campagna. "His work ethic on and off the court permeated over to his entire team, making their buy-in from the beginning fun to watch."

Appointed in June 2018, Lawson is the third head coach in the program's 17-year history.
