Meet Stephanie Sweeney, Associate Director of International Admissions and Alumni Recruitment Coordinator at Emmanuel College, Boston.
Stephanie is an alumna of Emmanuel College. She visits and reads applications from international countries, New York (counties north of New York City), Puerto Rico and Massachusetts (Greater Metrowest area).
What is your favorite thing about Emmanuel College?
I love that you have that small campus feel right in the middle of a major city. The location could not be better, steps away from the Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and of course, Fenway Park. I'll never forget watching the 2004 World Series: Sitting in my Emmanuel dorm room with friends, watching the winning play and running down to Fenway Park to celebrate. Oh, and the cafeteria food here is really good, too.
What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?
Lately I've been buying Groupons that let me explore fun activities in the city that I wouldn't normally take the time to do.
What is the one piece of advice you would give prospective students about the college process?
Check in with your schools on the status of your application. It shows that you are interested and proactive.
strong>What is the most exciting aspect of working in Admissions?
As the international counselor, I get to travel the world and meet so many cool and interesting students from many different cultures and countries.
