What does it mean to be a Saint?

Being a Saint is about more than just a Boston address or a blue & gold t-shirt.

Saints live and learn in the vibrant city of Boston, surrounded by world-class medical institutions, a global financial district, celebrated cultural resources and a growing technological hub.

Saints can choose from more than 50 majors, minors and programs of study within a dynamic learning community rooted in the liberal arts and sciences and shaped by strong ethical values.

Saints student-athletes thrive both on and off the court or playing field, competing in NCAA Division III athletics and developing life skills such as leadership, confidence, teamwork and time management.

Saints are provided with a comprehensive first-year experience, setting students on the path to becoming leaders and professionals who are critical thinkers, ethical decision makers and engaged members of the local community and global society.

Saints are connected to nearly a century of graduates who preceded them through a series of distinctive traditions that continuously shape the Emmanuel identity and spirit.

Saints are committed to social justice and serve the diverse populations of Boston and beyond through a variety of community programs, meriting a place on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction for the last four years.

Saints use the world as their extended classroom, pursuing a language, an interest or a career through more than 500 study-abroad opportunities in 70+ countries.

Saints wear their blue and gold loudly and proudly, earning Emmanuel College "Best School Spirit" on the Boston A-List for four consecutive years.

Saints collaborate side-by-side with faculty to explore their disciplines in greater depth, building on knowledge gained in the classroom and offering a unique hands-on, real-world experience.

When Saints collaborate, there's energy on campus that brings people and ideas together - in the classroom, across campus, throughout Boston and beyond.
