New Student Orientation

To welcome you into our community, we provide an Orientation program that is designed to make the transition to Emmanuel as seamless as possible for you and your family. This comprehensive program will include course selection, academic advising, educational sessions and a chance to meet your classmates. It will also provide you with the information you will need to become an active, successful and contributing member of the Emmanuel College community!

Summer Orientation

Orientation for all incoming students takes place in June. All students must stay overnight, even if you intend to commute to college during the semester. Plan to be on campus for two full days to register for classes and learn everything you need to know about Emmanuel. The dates are June 15th + 16th, June 18th + 19th, June 22nd + 23rd, or June 25th + 26th. Transfer students must attend the June 15 + 16th orientation session.

During Orientation, all campus offices will be open (i.e. Residence Life + Housing, Student Financial Services, Admissions, etc.) to answer any questions you may have. You will have your photo taken for your student ID and will receive this ID when you come back in the fall. All your meals will be provided while you are on campus, but you may want to bring a small amount of spending money if you wish to purchase any Emmanuel gear from our bookstore. Parking is available for you while you are staying on campus!

Orientation Leader Staff

When you arrive for Orientation, you will be greeted by student Orientation Leaders (OLs). These students have been selected to welcome you, answer questions and introduce you to Emmanuel's beautiful 17-acre campus and all of the College's student services. OLs come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, including different class years and majors, and participate in a variety of co-curricular activities. During Orientation, these leaders will also meet with parents and families to answer questions and provide their own student perspective.
