    Next Steps

Chemistry is everywhere. From the simplest elements of life to the many aspects of high-tech society, our world can be understood through chemistry.

At Emmanuel, we believe that practicing chemistry in the lab or in daily life opens the mind to critical thinking and problem solving. Our students collaborate with faculty on real-world research and, as early as their first year, get a true sense of what it means to study chemistry at the graduate and professional level. They are offered unmatched opportunities to engage and interact in the subject through our state-of-the-art Maureen Murphy Wilkens Science Center, which is equipped with the modern instrumentation and computer technology used intensively in laboratory courses and student-directed research. Our partnership with Merck Research Laboratories-Boston and our location in the world-renowned Longwood Medical and Academic Area provides opportunities for internships and mentorships with leaders in the field.
