Ph.D. Candidate, Brandeis University
Through my four years of tutoring at the Academic Resource Center at Emmanuel, it became very clear to me that I was called to teach. No matter the subject, my main motivation was always in making connections with those I tutored. This is why I wanted to pursue a Ph.D. after graduation, with the goal of becoming a professor.
Presently, I am entering my fourth year at Brandeis University as a doctoral candidate in chemistry. The experience has been beyond my expectations. I have been able to co-author a chapter in the book Nickel and Its Surprising Impact in Nature: Metal Ions in Life Sciences and also submitted a paper to the journal "Biochemistry."
The people I met during my time at Emmanuel really shaped my experience as a student. The story of the College cannot be told without describing the people that help make it special. They are the reason why Emmanuel will always hold such a big place in my heart.
