Emmanuel Receives National Recognition for Outreach and Engagement
June 17, 2010
Emmanuel College's Graduate and Professional Programs was honored by the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA) this spring for its outreach and engagement strategies with graduate programs in research administration in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area (LMA). The College was recognized during UCEA's 95th annual conference in San Francisco in early April.
Programs submitted for recognition were evaluated based on successful outcomes, innovation, contribution to outreach and engagement, and cost effectiveness. Since launching its graduate programs in research administration in the fall 2008, Emmanuel's Graduate and Professional Programs has continued to contribute to workforce development and strengthen the capacity of research institutions while supporting economic development in the LMA and beyond. The highly specialized academic program is offered in both face-to-face and online formats. Partner organizations include prestigious research institutions and hospitals such as Harvard University and Brigham and Women's Department of Medicine.
