Adam Silver is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Emmanuel College. He specializes in American political institutions, political parties and organizations, campaign strategies, and electoral politics, social movements, and state and local politics. He has served as a policy analyst and legislative director in the New York State Senate. He received his MA in History from SUNY Albany and PhD in Political Science from Boston University in 2010.
Current Research
Research interests include political party platforms and party development in American political history; New York State politics; and the intersection of social movements and music. Adam is a co-editor and contributor of a forthcoming volume assessing the theories and legacy of Howard Zinn. Expected publication date is 2012.
