Performance Arts

The mission of the Performance Arts Department at Emmanuel College is to offer students exposure to and skills in the various performing arts disciplines. We believe that the three main areas our department focuses on-theater, music, and dance-are a vital and integral part of a liberal arts education and can also provide students with practical tools for successful graduate and professional careers.

Through high-quality courses taught by instructors with both academic and "real life" experience, our department advances comprehensive theoretical and historical knowledge in these fields, as well as opportunities to master specific creative and technical skills through performance.

Offering minors in both theater and music, as well as individualized majors across the disciplines, our department serves both students seeking professions in the performing arts, as well as those interested in exploring them as a secondary area of interest.
