Beyond the Classroom

In the ever-changing world of science, it's about more than just the knowledge acquired from textbooks that can provide you with a competitive advantage.
For biochemistry students, the concepts of pH levels and run off take on new meaning when they're helping to clean up the Muddy River, just steps from Emmanuel's front door. And today's latest chemistry breakthrough was yesterday's topic at the Emmanuel/Merck Joint Science Seminar Series - a monthly series designed to bring together leaders in the scientific community, Merck scientists and Emmanuel faculty and students.
Internship Opportunities
At Emmanuel, internships are considered a priceless component of a student's education experience. 80% of our students participate in an internship before graduating. They recognize that such experiences go above and beyond names they can put on their resumes. For them, internships are practical. Tangible. Real. They are essential opportunities in a student's journey towards a professional career.
Emmanuel students have interned at such sites as Merck Research Laboratories-Boston, The Forsyth Institute, Boston Police Department Crime Labs, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Learn more »
