Why Give

Financial Aid

Vision. Determination. Potential.

The Annual Fund is about making the most of it.

8 out of every 10 students at Emmanuel receive some form of financial aid. In these economically challenged times, your contribution to the Annual Fund is more vital than ever. We’d like to introduce you to three successful students who couldn’t agree more.

Brian Anderson

The Presidential Scholarship. Future astronaut?
At some point, every kid dreams of being an astronaut. But for Brian, it’s a dream that never died. Last year, he took his first “giant leap” towards that dream with an internship at NASA. Brian worked at its Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, taking part in a unique hands-on experience working beside NASA scientists and engineers.

As a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship, Brian receives full tuition for his time at Emmanuel. The math major is making the most of his opportunity. After graduation he plans on getting his master’s degree in applied math, then back to NASA to work full time. After that? Maybe the moon, who knows?

Elizabeth Donovan

The Dean Scholarship. Future political powerhouse?
Elizabeth is an example of someone who takes full advantage of an opportunity. She has taken on a double major in political science and global studies with a minor in foreign languages, and without her scholarship, she would not have been able to attend Emmanuel.

As someone with a long-term interest in politics, Elizabeth plans to jump into the political arena after graduation. With her high energy and unmatched determination, don’t be surprised if you hear her name in a major political campaign one day.

Priscilla Andrade

The Sister Janet Eisner, SND Scholarship. International journalist?
Priscilla is a senior this year. She has studied abroad in Argentina and is working hard to graduate early to start the next chapter towards a career in international photography and journalism. This English major plans on entering the internship program at George Washington University. With the burden of affording college falling on her alone, the Sister Janet Eisner, SND Scholarship was an immense help towards attaining her goals.

There are many more students who we’d like to give these same opportunities. Will you help us?

The Annual Fund allows us to offer students scholarships and financial aid. We hope you remember the opportunities you had here, and believe, as we do, that every student who truly has the desire to study with us here at Emmanuel deserves the chance to do so.
