Service Learning: Tangible Lessons, Tangible Results

There's more to learning than just sitting in a classroom or reading from a text book. Ideas grow, passions spark and connections are made when you begin to think globally and creatively. Emmanuel was founded on these ideas, and on the mission to open doors through education and to lead, act and make a difference in this world.
Emmanuel art history students don't just look at slides of Monet's Water Lilies, they view the impressionist brush strokes for themselves in the galleries of the Museum of Fine Arts. And the concepts of pH levels, run off and ecosystems take on new meaning for our Environmental Science students when they're helping to clean up the Muddy River, just steps from Emmanuel's front door.
