Professor of Sociology and Religious Studies and Director of the Center for Mission and Spirituality Sister Mary Johnson, SND recently had an article published in America magazine, the only national Catholic weekly magazine in the United States. The article, "Reality Check: A Fact-based Assessment of U.S. Religious Life," is a response to recent commentary relating to the results of the doctrinal assessment of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious by the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, released in April. Sister Mary co-authored the article along with Patricia Wittberg, S.C., professor of sociology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Click here to read the article.
