Professor Aren Gerdon Publishes Work in Prominent Science Journal

Emmanuel College Assistant Professor of Chemistry Aren Gerdon has recently co-authored a paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy (PNAS), one of the world’s finest science journals. The paper is titled “Micromagnetic Selection of Aptamers in Microfluidic Channels” and was published with collaborators at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Gerdon received a B.A. from Hanover College as well as a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and primarily focuses his research on the biomineralization of hydroxyapatite for bone regeneration applications.
