Academic Science Center - Opening 2009

The Academic Science Center reflects the College's goal to build distinctive academic programs in the liberal arts and sciences by leveraging Emmanuel's unique location in Boston and in the heart of the Longwood Medical and Academic Area.

The Academic Science Center has been designed to:

• Advance the educational mission of the College by increasing opportunities for interactive teaching and learning and to enable the College to better prepare students in the sciences and other fields
• Enhance the academic experience for students and faculty and optimize the use of space to build community and foster collaboration
• Provide state-of-the-art classrooms for all disciplines
• Maximize energy efficiency as a "green" building, emphasizing sustainability
• Provide student study areas, common meeting space and faculty offices for collaborative learning
